Mindfulness Intervention and Well-Being in Graduate Students

Ongoing · 2025

I am currently conducting a research study examining the impact of a brief mindfulness intervention on well-being in Master's of Education students. The study focuses on the use of a 10-minute guided body scan practice and its effect on both state and trait mindfulness over time.

This project has received Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval, ensuring that all procedures meet ethical standards for research involving human participants, including informed consent, confidentiality, and data protection.

The study uses a pretest–posttest design, with repeated measures to capture both immediate and longer-term effects of the intervention. By isolating the body scan as a standalone practice, this research aims to better understand how accessible, low-effort interventions can support stress management and emotional well-being in graduate student populations.

This work reflects my broader interest in bridging clinical practice and research, particularly in developing interventions that are both effective and feasible in real-world settings.
